So. Dave is kind of a jerk when it comes to his illusion ability and is also more than a little bit of a kleptomaniac. A full description of his mutation can be found here on his app, but here's a quick run down of the kinds of things he uses it for:

-- Changing his appearance if he's having a bad hair day.
-- Making you think he's standing there normally when he's actually picking your pockets.
-- Causing distractions with other illusions in order to pick your pockets.
-- Sneaking into your room to balance the contents of said pockets on your face while you're sleeping when he's done with them or:
-- Leaving them in fun and creative places for you to find or:
-- If he's feeling particularly cantankerous that day, putting the item in a room and casting to make multiples, then watching you flail. For fun.
-- His illusions do use a form of mind control (tricking the mind, essentially) rather than light manipulation. On students and staff, he would never use them for anything freaky and pretty much for just the above. Anything beyond would only happen in life/death situations and even then, he's more likely to mask people than do anything horrific. (If, for some reason, he would have to pull out some freaky illusions, I will ask permission before doing so. Again, this is still not very likely to happen.)
-- And because it has to do with the noggin -- if your character is extremely strong willed, not susceptible to such things, or has similar powers, they would probably be able to see through his illusions in some shape or form. Mention the blemish on his nose. I dare you.

If anyone does an action thread with him, there is a high chance he's going to hijack one of your possessions just for the hell of it. That's how Dave rolls. If you're not okay with that, that is also cool! I can find a reason for that not to happen in an action thread just as easily (either him having just stolen something from someone else or taking one of the school fixtures or just not into at that moment, whatever the situation calls for.)

Things he takes and what he does with them:

-- Nothing direly important! Like, he won't take someone's medication/inhaler/other items of import because that's just rude.
-- If he knows you have money to spare, credit cards are fair game. He will not do this to students. Again, rude.
-- He will steal homework.
-- If he takes something, he will occasionally add his own notes; either he makes fun of yours, highlights a passage he finds important, or gives you the (correct) answers on some questions to assignments. Good Guy Dave, pretty much.
-- He has a fondness for shiny objects and music players (because he can upload that to his own library, aw yeah double theft.)
-- Not student related, but sometimes he will take furniture. That nice chair in the common room you like? Yeah. He'll take it.
-- He takes things when talking to other people because there's more of a risk to it. He will not break into other people's rooms to take things or go through their stuff. Your locks suck so he doesn't care.
-- EVERYTHING gets returned, usually in a couple of days and always in a place the other PC will find. (The time frame for homework is dependent on the class, but it will come back in time or be there waiting for your character on their desk.)
-- When something is returned, since he can't use his previous calling card, he leaves a post-it note with a very happy smiley face doodled on it stuck to the object.
-- You're welcome.

Again, if you're okay with this happening in an action thread, the return will be handwaved just because the sheer number of stuff he's going to take over the course of his stay at the school is going to be completely freaking ridiculous (unless you want to action that out for some reason, but he's going to be very sneaky about that part; that does not mean that I am not up for him getting caught, though!)

Anyway, onto the lovely permission form, if you would all be kind enough to fill that out:

As this is the first time I've ever had the need to do a permissions post of this nature, let me know if I've forgotten something or need to elaborate on any of the above points! If there are any questions, feel free to ask them as well!
